Afristyle dance club (ASDC) is a community group that promotes arts and culture and the interest of children and parents in particular but not exclusively relating to African dance and performance . ASDC was founded in 2019 to promote African culture and diversity.
ASDC is guaranteed to train students on African dance styles using historical music infusion. Our dance club offers a varied historical dance programs from different African cultural heritage to develop varied dance skills and promote self-esteem among individuals. ASDC is a place where you meet new people, break down personal barriers, encourage parents relationships, have fun and feel comfortable.

Our aim is to promote the Arts and Culture and the interests of children, young adults and parents in particular but not exclusively relating to African Dance and performance and in furtherance of this by the following objectives;

To create unique, challenging and diverse live performances and share them
with communities through providing dance instructions.
To strengthen the confidence, team working, self-discipline, healthy lifestyle
and creative skills in performance in young students.
To support afro-cultural community and share the afro-traditions with other
communities.

Working in partnership with other bodies to achieve the purposes.
Many of us who wish to learn to dance for an African event, wedding and parties or just socially, why not come and join us at St Columba church Hall, Bridge of Don.
You will not only learn waist dance, shimmering, kukere, etighi, kupe, sensima,
kpakam, azonto, atilogwu, skelewu, you will also enjoy a relaxed atmosphere as we pride ourselves in offering sequence dancing for everyone to step their best foot
forward.

Our volunteers and mentors are certified under Disclosure Scotland Scheme.
